They just paranormally ‘know’ one another, so there is nothing for us as readers to see or touch or feel that helps us learn or care about them. The people in this book are written very flat. I began skimming the (long, long, long) sex scenes early on, looking for the next items of the actual plot. This author actually managed to make sex boring! The sheer volume of sex became laughable: they see each other and picture having sex, they are apart and each one imagines having sex, they are together again talking about having sex or having sex or looking at each other and – surprise! – thinking about sex. The remaining 75% of this book went to relentless and tedious sex between the two leads.
